The European countries with the most billionaires are Germany (17,820) , United Kingdom (10,910), Switzerland (6,330) , France (4,490) and Italy (1,625). The number of billionaires in Portugal - with fortunes in excess of 25 million - increased by 10.8 % to 870 people last year, despite the crisis being experienced in the country, according to a report by Swiss bank UBS .
